Local Attractions

Pantglas Hall is the perfect base to explore south west Wales with its rich history, outstanding scenery, castles and traditional market towns.

Carmarthenshire is called the garden of Wales for good reason. The area boasts some of the finest horticultural gems in Britain, with The National Botanical Gardens, the historical Aberglasney House and garden, and Dinefwr House and Park within a ten-minute drive.  Don’t forget waterfall country in Neath Port Talbot and the walkers’ paradise of the Afan Valley.

The Brecon Beacons, Brechfa Forest, Black Mountains and Neath Valley are in easy reach, as are the rugged coasts of Pembrokeshire, Cardigan and the Gower Peninsula.   For guests who need some excitement, try surfing in Llangennith, dry slope skiing in Pembrey, Go-Ape at Margam Park or visit Oakwood, the home of the largest wooden rollercoaster in Europe.
